1. Ken Ishii你今年有什麼大計?

我現正灌錄新個人大碟，更即將開始與Kazuma Morino為這張大碟製作一齣全電腦圖像影像。

2. 你怎樣去預備你那set表演呢? 尤其是當你巡迴的時候，你會在每個地方都重複用同一set，還是每次都會係一個新的嘗試?

我過往同一位名為 Daisuke Iwahara 的搞擊樂手一起作過無數次的 live performance，我在每一個 tour 裡面都有一個基本流程, 而我的電子音樂與他的現場搞擊樂揉合起來所擦出的火花次次不同，好有新鮮感，這就是我覺得好特別而又最感興趣的地方.

3. 你有無一刻覺得" 就是這樣、這就是我想做的" ?

可能在我12歲那年，我第一次領會到在Yellow Magic管弦樂團的樂曲Rydeen那種細膩的編曲，當時我知道究竟音樂是應該怎樣造成，而這個發現深深吸引住我，驅使我想去做音樂。

4. 你期望在2002年6 月29的Ken Ishii Hong Kong Tour 2002 和 DJ Yama 與及Heigo Tani "Co-Fusion" 會一帶給我們什麼驚喜?

他們都係我好好既朋友， 我們在日本合作過無數次。大家都知道我們是最合拍的組合。首先有玩house的Heigo做warm-up，跟著我會打3小時的funky techno，然從再由玩hard techno的Yama推至頂點。

5. 在你的DJ生涯裡面，有無經歷過一些你認為 "最瘋狂"的事件?

記得在96年的大型比利時節日，當我在表演我那set音樂時，竟然有群眾在做愛，可能我的Djing 有剌激性慾的功效。

INTERVIEW :: June 1st, 2002

1) What is coming up next for Ken Ishii this year?

Ken Ishii: I'm currently recording my new album which will be released in this autumn. Also am starting making a full computer graphics video for the album with Kazuma Morino quite soon.

2) How do you prepare your sets for shows, especially when you are on tour? Do you ever duplicate your sets somewhat from city to city, or is it an experiment every time?

Ken Ishii: I do live with a percussionist called Daisuke Iwahara for the last few years. I make a basic flow for each tour and the fusion between my electronics and his real percussions is always different and interesting every time.

3) What was the moment you realized "this is it, this is what I want to do with my life"?

Ken Ishii: Probably when I first understood detailed arrangements in Yellow Magic Orchestra's track, called Rydeen, at an age of 12. I found out how the music was made then, and that totally attracted me to do the same thing.

4) What will we expect at Ken Ishii Hong Kong Tour on June 29, 2002 with DJ Yama and Co-Fusion "Heigo"?

Ken Ishii: The guys are my nice friends and we play together a lot in Japan. We know it's a good combination when we come together - like started off with housier Heigo, me with funky techno, then harder Yama.

5) Ok, last question just for fun...what was the wildest thing you ever experienced while you were DJ'ing?

Ken Ishii: In a huge Belgian festival in '96, people having sex in the crowd during my set. My DJing seemed to give them sexual stimulation as well!
